This project is challenging me already. Ridiculous day, and this is as much of the outside as I had an opportunity to capture.

Sorry. My goal is to put up a fresh picture every day, just as an exercise in observation and consistency.
But I spent the day in church and then moving furniture. So this is the only picture I had time to take.
Still, I do enjoy staring into this tangle of plants in front of our house.

This is my favorite load-bearing pole in the world. It never fails to tickle me. This sign has been there for at least 2 years.
The decision to put a basket of Ricola in front of it to make it harder to walk into is a new one, and suggests to me that the sign was not getting the job done.

This is the stuff that keeps me sane.
For the uninitiated this is my younger son Zachary, after doing some volunteering at Grey Bears, an organization that supports Seniors through a variety of initiatives, including a massive thrift complex. Zach loves to help organize things in the thrift area. Today someone who was there with him thought these glasses would be the perfect accessory for him.
Once again, I love places that make space for everyone. Here in Santa Cruz Grey Bears is one of those places.
